We're in Peru!

We arrived in Peru late on May 1st. It has been so great to see Mom and Dad Blunck after almost a year! On Monday we slept in, then Mom and Dad showed us around parts of Lima. That afternoon we ate our first Peruvian dinner at a delicious restaurant. In the evening we chatted and played cards. Today we met Marta, the house help here at Mom and Dad's apartment. We enjoyed meeting her, though it reinforced the fact that we only know about 5 words in Spanish! Today we went shopping at the Inca Market. They have lots of beautiful artwork and other Peruvian handicrafts. We didn't buy anything except a silver band to be a temporary wedding ring here for me in Peru (I left mine in Utah). We plan to look for a while before we start buying souvenirs. Mom and Dad bought a lovely red el paca blanket and a beautiful plate. We will post pictures soon!
