Day #5 - ST. GEORGE, UT

Today we went on a stunning hike in Zions National Park called Angels Landing. The hike is approximately 3 miles of mostly steep switchbacks. The last 0.5 mile of the hike is an incredibly scary hike along a narrow ridge with 2,000 foot drops on either side. My parents decided not to complete the final part of the hike. I was so scared I almost turned back partway. It was definitely the scariest thing I have ever done in my entire life. Below are pictures from the hike!

We have had the most wonderful time on our vacation with Mom and Dad. We are so grateful to them for taking us on this fabulous trip!

  1. Beautiful pictures!!! Benjamin's favorite was the picture of Stephen jumping over Shara on day #1. We love you, congratulations on everything, and good luck on your journey to Peru. -Sheri

  2. My dad is a very avid hiker, and every summer he hikes between 50 and 70 miles in different national parks. A few years back, he hiked to the top of the mountain that overlooks Maccu Piccu in Peru. At the top he said out loud, "This is one of the most spectacular hikes I have ever been on."

A man who has hiked on every continent happened to overhear his comment. He said, "I can think of only one hike more spectacular than this. Angel's Landing, Zion National Park."

    My dad agreed.

So, go hike Maccu Piccu this summer! You'll get the two best hikes in the world within a few months!
