Last Saturday we went shopping at the mercado. There is a mercado just around the corner from where we live and it is humongous! We have bought lots of fruit there over the past few weeks, but we hadn't really explored the vastness of the mercado before Saturday. The mercado really goes on forever. There you can find everything you can think of... food, clothes, shoes, blankets, toilet paper... pretty much anything you could ever need and for really cheap prices! We found a Lacoste shirt for Stephen with a $110 price tag on it. When we asked the saleslady how much it cost, she told us $8.00. For some strange reason, Stephen still didn't buy it even though I tried hard to convince him. I guess he thinks he'll find an even cheaper price somewhere else! We also visited another lovely church and once again visited the Plaza de Armas, or the central square of Cajamarca.
1-5. The mercado (notice the picture with the lady dressed in traditional Peruvian clothing and hat... lots of people dress that way here) 6-10. The Plaza de Armas and a lovely church
Wow! Looks like you guys are having such a wonderful time there!
