Tower of London and Tower Bridge

Last Saturday we visited the Tower of London and saw the Tower Bridge.  The Tower of London was built in 1066.  The Tower was both a royal residence and a prison.  Within the Tower of London, we enjoyed seeing the Royal Armory and really enjoyed taking a look at the Crown Jewels.  We also learned about methods of torture in the tower.

A view of the Tower of London.

The Tower is surrounded by two defensive walls, and used to be surrounded by a moat.

The famous Tower Bridge!

Jumping over the Tower Bridge! :)

This is the White Tower, within the walls of the fortress.

We enjoyed seeing an enactment from history, and got some pictures afterwards.  Here I am with the queen.

Here's Stephen with Henry Tudor.

Here we are in the Royal Armory.  We got to see armor made for kings and princes from hundreds and hundreds of years ago!

Going down the longest circular staircase ever.

A lovely view of the Tower Bridge!
