A couple months ago I was called as the ward camp director for the three wards in Coppell. I have really enjoyed getting to know the girls and preparing for camp! There are 21 girls going to camp from the Coppell wards.
The stake theme is "Now is Your Time to Shine." The Coppell wards were assigned the value of "Choice and Accountability" which is the color orange. We were asked to come up with an idea relating to a boat that has to do with our ward value and the stake theme. The girls decided to use a sailboat because when the sails are turned just slightly, the boat ends up in a totally different place - much like the small choices we make everyday that lead us down very different paths!
Below are some of the things the girls and I have done in preparation for camp.

| Every year the girls make new pins to go on the lanyards they wear at camp. This year the girls made inner tube life preservers to go along with our theme. |

| The girls came up with the idea for the Coppell t-shirt and I had the t-shirts made. |

| In my opinion, t-shirts always look better when rolled up cute and presented with an orange ribbon for your hair. |

| Every year the girls design a banner to go along with the theme. The girls came up with this cute idea of a sailboat that can take different courses along the water. One of the girls did all the artwork with felt and I did the writing with 3-D fabric paint. |

| I bought lots of sweets for girls camp! Girls are just happier when they have chocolate. I will be the first to admit it. |
Camp starts this Wednesday and goes through Saturday! It will be a blast!
Those girls are so lucky to have such a fun leader-- you are so cute!
