Parents in London Week #2

My parents' second week in London was just as fabulous as the first!  We did and saw so much!  See the pictures below!

On Sunday we attended an organ recital at St. Paul's Cathedral.

On Monday Stephen took the day off of work and we went on a fabulous all-day tour.  Our first stop was Leeds Castle.

Next we hit up the white cliffs of Dover and Tyson got to put his feet in the ocean for the first time!

The weather was so gorgeous that day!

We then went to Greenwich.  Anyone recognize this place from Thor #2?  This is where the meridian is and Stephen is striking a Thor pose. :)

Then we went on a boat ride along the Thames River.

On Tuesday Tyson and I stayed home and rested while Mom and Dad took a tour to Windsor Castle.  Tyson enjoyed having the day to play at home.  The weather was so warm that Tyson went shirtless for a while to stay cool as we don't have air conditioning.

On Wednesday we visited Buckingham Palace and saw the Royal Mews and the Queen's Gallery.  This coach is still in use, though only on very grand occassions.

On Thursday my parents took an awesome all-day tour to Oxford and Cambridge and Tyson and I rested again. :)  On Friday my parents did the houses of parliament tour and loved it!  (We had done it previously.)

Next we hit up Harrod's, an extremely expensive and extravagent department store.  We actually bought something! ....Two small pieces of caramel. :)

We then checked out the Victoria and Albert Museum as well as the Natural History Museum.  We saw a wedding dress exhibit of dresses from the past few hundred years and it was wonderful!

On Saturday we went to the Portobello Road Market and got delicious food!

Next we went to Madame Tussauds where there are hundreds of wax figures of famous people.  They look so real you feel like you're looking at the real person.  Here we are with the royal family.

We also got to meet President Obama.

Afterwards we walked over to Regent's Park and enjoyed the lovely rose gardens.

On Sunday we got some great family pictures in our London apparel.

We also attended another organ recital, this time at Westminster Abbey.

These pictures show just a small portion of all we did!  We had such a great time with Mom and Dad and are so grateful to them for making the journey out here to spend time with us!
