Black Friday

Stephen said he would never do the Black Friday thing, but when a huge pile of advertisements showed up on our doorstep on Thursday morning, we discovered the deals were just too good to pass up. So late Thursday night we bundled up in snowpants, coats, gloves, hats, and boots, and drove over to Sears. Sears was selling a washer and dryer set for half price, but only had 10 per store. We will need a washer and dryer when we move to Texas, so we decided Black Friday was the time to buy! We got in line around midnight and stayed there until 4 AM. The temperature outside was 9 degrees and we about froze to death. At 4 AM the doors opened and it was a mad rush as people sprinted towards the appliances section from all sides of Sears. Stephen's running skills came into play as he sprinted faster than everyone and was the first in line! We were out of the store with receipt in hand at 4:04 AM. We then headed over to a few other stores for some more great buys.

The first picture below is us standing in line around 3 AM. The second picture is us completely exhausted around 8 AM after no sleep the whole night, and the third picture is of our new Christmas tree that we got for only $25 at Target.
