Our honeymooon in St. George! We spent a lovely sunny weekend there and went hiking in Zions National Park.

We unwrapped wedding gifts with Mom and Dad Debenham.

We have enjoyed trying out new restaurants in Provo.
We went bowling at the Wilkinson Student Center at BYU. Stephen about doubled Shara's score. :)
We had Mom and Dad Debenham over for Sunday dinner. We have enjoyed trying out new receipes too!
We went for a picnic at the park near our apartment.
We made delicious cookie and ice cream sandwiches. :) We also bought the entertainment center you see in the background at a yard sale for $25!

We biked to the Y parking lot and then hiked the Y. (We will admit that it was a tough bike ride and we walked the steep hills at the end!) It was Stephen's first time hiking the Y after being a student at BYU for 5 years.
We went to an end-of-the-year party at the park with Shara's BYU grad class.
We went on a beautiful hike up in the Uintah National Forest. We didn't realize we would have to take a bumpy dirt road for 5 miles to get to the hike, but we had fun off-roading in the Nissan Sentra! The hike was lovely and there were hardly any people. We felt confident that we wouldn't need sunscreen, but we ended up getting quite
sunburned!
sunburned!
We also enjoyed a wonderful weekend up in Oregon with the Blunck family. We had a second wedding reception in the backyard. We are so grateful to our family for all the hard work they put into putting together such a lovely reception! We really enjoyd spending time with our family and visiting with many extended family members and friends. Pictures from the reception will come soon!
Last, but definitely not least, we enjoyed an exciting week with Mom and Dad Blunck here in Utah! They were at the MTC for a week before leaving on a mission to Peru, and we got to spend a few evenings with them. We loved spending time with them and hearing all about what they were learning at the MTC. Lynette, Stephen's sister, also flew out and together they flew to Peru on Monday, June 28th. Unfortunately, we did not take any photos when they were in town! We are so excited for them!

Looks like you guys have stayed busy and had fun!
ReplyDelete$25! What a great deal!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I haven't hiked Y yet, and I'm not that far from the 5 year mark :P
Oregon looks just like Utah, except greener. It's pretty.
