We had an absolutely wonderful time in Bruges, Belgium. Upon arrival in Brussels Thursday morning, we caught a train to Bruges, a little over an hour away. Upon arrival we tried really hard to find the bed and breakfast place I had booked online, but finally gave up and got a taxi. The bed and breakfast was outside of the old town of Bruges and was very cute. The owner, Natasha, was heading into town shortly after we arrived and offered us a ride into town! It was so fun to drive with this sweet Belgian lady into town.
Bruges is the loveliest, most picturesque city I have ever seen. Untouched by the war, Bruges retains its amazing medieval buildings. We walked around town and climbed the super narrow 366 steps to the top of the Belfry Tower. We also visited a few churches. The city is also filled with Belgian chocolate shops and Belgian waffles. I got a Belgian waffle covered in chocolate sauce and it was one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted (WAY better than American waffles). On Friday morning we got up early, walked around town, and then caught a boat to cruise along the gorgeous canals that run through the city. It was one of the most fun touristy things I have ever done. Afterwards we caught a train and headed back to Brussels!

| Tyson was really good on the boat and I think the cute old lady next to him spent more time playing with him than looking at the sights. |

| What a lovely city! |
