Pucallpa!!!

We recently returned from a fun few days in the jungle city of Pucallpa. Pucallpa is quite a big city and contains an entire LDS stake. There are many members of the church there! On Monday we did apartment checks with mom. That evening we did Family Home Evening with the missionaries. On Tuesday we visited a really great zoo with all kinds of jungle animals. That afternoon we visited a lake and a native village about a 40-minute dusty drive outside Pucallpa. We had a great time!

A cute boy and his baby sister who followed us around as we shopped at a market.

The awesome zoo we went to.

Huge ant hills at the zoo.

Beautiful lake at the zoo.

Lovely view at the zoo.  This lake had alligators in it!

A lovely lily pond we happened upon.

Lunch with the zone leaders and assistants.

A lake which has piranha and pink dolphins!  Unfortunately we didn't see any.

Stephen found a little boat tipped over a few feet off shore.  After retrieving the boat, he climbed in.  It didn't last very long before it tipped over!

These cute kids live in the native village we visited.  The sang a song for us for 50 centimos.

Stephen and the missionaries played a pick-up game of volleyball with the local native Peruvians.

Group photo after the game.

A wooden snake at our hotel.  Fortunately snakes don't come in that size!
